A "Monster" Post

We made our trip this year like every other to the pumpkin farm by Ames, IA. This year we brought the Curtis clan with us and the kids had a GREAT time!!

This was Tre's first year to go down the slide...

pet the horses with mom...

and feed the goats with dad!

Ava still has her favorite, the corn pool!!

Posing with her apple cider slush...YUM!!

HUGE concentration down the slide!

We have pictures of every year with Isaiah on these tractors....

I think he may have outgrown them now!

His face is more excitement than Ava's!!

Kids posing on the hay, an every year pose!

Next up, carving the huge pumpkin!

We thought we would put Tre inside the pumpkin, however, his chubby legs didn't quite fit through the hole comfortable and the inside of the pumpkin was freezing!!

Trick or treating this year was fun because it wasn't too cold, but was busy!!

I just love everything going on in this picture. Matthew talking to little brother Cole...Isaiah trying to hold Tre steady while Ava is giving him some loving!

Batman (Matthew) and Batgirl (Ava)

Tre wasn't so sure about it this year

This really is kind of a scary mask...Isaiah tried many times to scare me in the house!

Our happy boy!!

Brotherly Love!

There are things that I take for granted...and one of those things is watching the kids interact with each other. They are always playing (and sometimes fighting) but there is nothing like a bond that siblings have. Right now the kids are enjoying their little brother in different ways. Ava is HUGE into acting like a teacher, and Tre...well if he is strapped in anywhere she uses that time to "teach" him. Right now he is fine with it...but I know that it won't last forever. However, Ava does not realize this and I am letting her eat it up as much as she can!!

Isaiah just loves Tre...period. He loves to hold him, kiss and hug him when he goes to bed, when he leaves for school...any time. He spends time playing with him and talking to him and Tre listens and watches him intently. I know that Isaiah is anxious for when he is walking and wanting to play with him! They are both such good siblings to Tre and so thankful that they still continue to love him and enjoy him as much as they do!!!

Labor Day...good friends and good food!

Labor Day...Tim made some awesome ribs and there were great desserts, I really should have taken pictures of it all...YUM!! Isaiah and Will got some pointers from Jeremy Langner for their week of football coming up...

Neither Isaiah nor Will is scared to get right down in there and tackle at the feet...I am pretty sure that they do better than watching videos of my brother when he was in junior high...and they almost ran away from tackling anyone...sorry Kyle!!

I love the concentration they had...Isaiah was taking a long pass from Jeremy...

I cut off the ball in this picture, but they both were just zoned in!

Tre makes this high squealing voice when he sees Isaiah in his helmet, he just loves it!

We cannot forget the girls Anna and Ava!

Matthew was giving it a go on Anna's skates...he needed his "cane" to keep himself steady!

Then there was content Mr. Cole just relaxing the afternoon away...hardly made a peep!!

6 months...already???

I swear sometimes life goes by way too fast...Tre is already six months old and this last six months has just FLOWN by!! Along with that sometimes I wonder if I know how to blog...I always post my pictures backwards...anyway, this was Tre at the end of the photo shoot, can you tell he was tired? Sitting up unassisted is a lot of work!!

Sometimes I wonder what my neighbors are thinking as I sit outside making sneezing noises at Tre to get faces like this! Then I realize I don't care, who can't laugh along with a little chubbo's laugh too?

My grandma Knudson and I went shopping to the new store in Waterloo, Crazy8. It's from Gymboree which is one of my favorite stores, I hope they stick around because you can't pass up cute clothes and hats like this!!

Ava kept zooming by on her bike, which made us take pauses in our pictures, he was very entertained!!

Tre is one of the happiest babies I know, and I am so thankful for that!

He just loved trying to chew on this baseball!

Tre was honestly growling at me while I was taking this picture!

Showing off all his blues...even those baby blues!

Tre you have proven to be a great combination of all of us, even the kids...what an amazing gift all the kids are and watching Tre growing up makes me even more thankful to God for what we have been given!!

First Day of School!!!

First day of school 2011: Ava has been waiting to be just like Isaiah and be in "big kid school". She was so excited the night before she could hardly sleep, lots of giggles in her bed when she was supposed to be sleeping!! What a great way to start the new school year when you are excited to go!! So proud of you Ava, you are definitely a big girl now!!

Isaiah is in 3rd grade this year and he was okay with taking these pictures and I am glad he was, because once we got to school he really wanted nothing to do with Ava or I...which made me sad yet so happy for him at the same time, he has really grown up!

Of course, we couldn't get by without a picture of all three kids: Isaiah (8 yrs old, 3rd grade), Ava (5 yrs, kindergarten), and little Tre man (6 months).

I know this will be a great year for them!!!

More babies!!

Heidi came over this last weekend during Denver days to bring Danica over...boy have they both grown!! They both were entertained with Ava...not sure they were enjoying her but they were being entertained!!

Tre was such a trooper, we had him up late at night and moving all day during the day and was still as smiley as ever!!

Danica wasn't quite sure about me being in her face!

Just relaxing!

Chubby baby feet!!

I love both of these pictures of Danica....but the bottom of one because you can see how blue her eyes are!!
